Artist statement

I call my work INVOLVATONS as I always try to include some stage of interactivity between the art work and the art audience/the general public. It is important for me to make noise about issues of such pregnancy that it needs illumination. I work with matters that makes me angry or worried, I naively like to believe my work might make a change.

LARGE SCALE is a passion of mine; I feel the need to work monumentally. When it comes to the experience of an installation I make use of the way my art work could affect people by the means of scale. Actual and mental inclusion. A ”walk-in-to sculpture” would make a mind remember, creating unexpected influence and new thought.

ENABLING is another aspect of my work. Making possible. Offering art that invites You to act, to react, to reflect. My art work allows some kind of participation. When my installation enables actual bodily somersaults – it is foremost to mirror and make possible mental turn arounds, as You go.

Ceramic clay and molten glass are my favorite media – but I do work in various others. Sometimes I make commissioned large scale permanent installation or sculpture (exterior and interior), other times I work time based; researching sequence of material and matter.

I have a wish to one day work with research in art.
